Meet the Freeze, a T-Ball Team with no Shortage of Girl Power

The official lineup of Disney Princesses includes classic names such as Aurora, Cinderella, and Snow White, as well as newer characters like Anna and Elsa from Frozen. All in all, there are exactly 13 official Disney Princesses.

As it so happens, the official roster of the Freeze 6-and-under girls’ softball team from Oklahoma, also includes 13 names of 13 princesses, and each of them is a fabulously fierce ballplayer to boot.

In a series of team photos taken by team mom Betsy Gregory earlier this year, the Freeze traded in their T-ball uniforms for some sparkly blue Elsa dresses and took to the diamond to the show the world what “Girl Power” really means. These snapshots made it everywhere, from the Edmund local news to front pages of Reddit, and social networks across the Internet.

The glittery, blue eye-black might just be the our favorite addition to any Elsa costume ever, by the way.

According to Gregory, the Freeze didn’t win many of their games this season, but they accomplished the most important thing of all: They had an absolute blast. Whether you’re playing ball or playing dress-up with your kids, having fun is what really matters.

All of The Freeze’s parents sent us a bunch more cute costume photos, too – use the slideshow below to check them out!
