Title: TOTAL PIECE OF JUNK

This was a total piece of junk...The on button broke just by touching it, and the battery compartment would not unscrew, even after removing the screw. DO NOT BUY THIS!

Title: Frustrated with a happy ending

My son, who is currently obsessed with Star Wars, saved his money for a few weeks to buy this lightsaber, and he tracked it daily once we ordered it. Finally the UPS man brought it tonight! He ripped it open, we installed batteries, and it didn't work. We reinstalled the batteries in every direction possible, tried different batteries, still no light. My very upset little boy and his frustrated mom were ready to package it up and send it back when we decided to inspect the light bulb. I pulled out the light bulb and only the glass part came out (very easily) and the metal end was left in the lightsaber. I could see a lot of corrosion inside the metal, and it became very obvious that this was the problem. I picked out the metal end and was very disappointed to find it dented in full of a grayish powdery material. We searched through all our toys and flashlights until we found the correct lightbulb, installed it and it came right on. This story ends with a very happy little boy and a very angry mom, because this toy has obviously been either repackaged or sitting on a shelf for a LONG time.
