Title: Do Not Buy!

This mermaid costume is beautiful, but does not hold up at all. The bottom piping seperated just from walking around the house. The bodice frayed as well as the armbands. I had to cut the costume in many places so my daughter would not trip while walking. For the price of the costume, it should have held up better than it did. The headband broke very easily and the pearls on the headband fell off. Very poorly made costume. The costume was NOT worth the price. Way overpriced for the quality. Save yourself and your daughter the heartbreak and DO NOT BUY THIS COSTUME!!!

This was the highest priced mermaid outfit and although it's pretty, the head piece arrived broken and the fish tail bottom frayed and tore apart after one wearing

Title: beautiful dress up addition

Absolutely beautiful. My daughter cannot wait to wear it this weekend and have it to dress up in. The headpiece beading had to be glued back on but that was a simple fix. She will be the prettiest mermaid ever!

Absolutely love the details of this costume. It was a little tight so I will be returning it for a larger size so my daughter can wear it longer. The quality was excellent.

Title: Great looking, but poor quality

I hesitated to buy this mermaid costume for my 6 year old, but finally paid the high price (minus a $20 discount), only to discover that I should have heeded my first instinct. While the costume was very beautiful (my daughter loved how it looked), I was very disappointed with the quality of the material. The bodice seams were showing signs of distress BEFORE my daughter even put it on. After trying it on, I immediately asked her to take it off so that I can return it. For the price this costume is selling for, I expect much higher quality or at least a dress that was fully lined, and not a cheap acetate bodice that will rip as soon as my daughter tries to play in it. It's a pity, really, since it is the best looking mermaid costume out there.

Costume was beautiful but did not hold up well. The plastic support in the bottom of the skirt tore very quickly needs to be more durable especially when its used for a Halloween costume

Title: Granddaughter loves it!

I cannot speak to this personally as I had the costume sent directly to my granddaughter who phoned me to tell me she loved it! In fact, she had been wearing it since she got home from school and opened the package. I am not sure it will make it to Halloween at this rate. But, my daughter added that the costume was a good quality and well made. My granddaughter did originally pick out the costume and the boa on the web site. I am so happy the order turned out very well and would certainly shop here in the future.
